Hey guys!

Happy Late New Year...Because I think I totally forgot to say it two weeks ago, so blargh blargh blargh!
So, that new short comic idea is going well: most of it is sketched and I have one page fully done (inked, colors and everything) HOWEVER I'm not posting it yet.
Reason being: I just don't want you guys to wait for weeks (months?) until the next page.
First of all: I've been almost working on a daily basis on it, and frankly I've reached my burnout point: I need a little break.
The other thing is...Well, it might end up being longer than what I first expected. See, I had a few pages, like 10...Until I decided to add some sort of introduction to it, so I sketched several more pages...Then, what if I add a little break in the middle of the comic, and throw some gags on top of it (I know I said this comic will be more serious, but...Well, I just can't help myself: I have to put silly things, heh! ^^")? So now, I have like 20 pages...And I still don't have the ending!
But remember: those pages are simple sketches...I only have one page fully done.
Because, while I'm able to sketch and put a rough idea on paper faster (or, at least, with less frustration than before), inking, coloring and shading still takes me a Hell of time, with the biggest problem being shading: I am still clueless about how to properly put shadows, and I simply stare at the page wondering what to do with it. Even something as simple as cell-shading done right (because if you do it wrong, you just obtain a mess) is very challenging for me, so I spend quite some time looking at reference pics from other artists, simply to try to figure out how to best place the shadows so it won't look like crap. Obviously, I refuse to leave it with flat colors.
I still have two weeks of break (even though I am going back to the US next week), but still: I'll have to start working on the syllabus and course plans for next semester classes. It should be an easier semester than the previous one: less classes, less grading (less money :/)...But still, I want to hit the gym and obviously my online drawing classes will start again. Not mentioning an homage pic for Crazy-Wolf I want to work on.
I should manage to get some time to focus on the comic, but remember: not all of my free time is dedicated to drawing (you know, there's gaming, movies and, obviously, social life!).
The ideal plan is to have one page per week. In practice, chances are I will only be able to do one every two weeks, but still: let's try to aim for one page per week. That's why I am not posting anything yet: if by next week I manage to have one (or two?) more pages, that should give me breathing room in case I end up being more busy than I thought. Not that I forecast any major issues, unless I hit another art block/laziness, but you never know.
On a positive note, let's suppose I made significant progress with this comic and finishes it sooner than expected: I will then post all the remaining pages before...In which case, I think I will still release only a page every few days, simply to avoid having another long period of inactivity in here.
Plus, because I'll need another break after all of that...And then, I would really really REALLY like to start working in a way or another on my SERIOUS comic projects.
Also, simply to see people's reactions: if I post everything, I would only get something in the last page. Not if I post one page every few days: I'll have some fun seeing what you guys will be posting in the comments, what you guys might be expecting next, etc.
And because I do not wish to overflow your submission box.
...And also because I just want to tease a bit and sometimes finish a page with a tiny cliffhanger. ^^
So there you go. The first page should come out next week-end or next week
